Notary Public
You must have valid identification. The document must be completely filled out with no blanks and signed in front of the Town Clerk. There is no fee for this service.

Certificate of Residency – for community colleges
Resident must provide something with their current address on it along with a photo id. If someone other than the applicant brings in the form, it must be notarized on the completed application. There is no fee for this service.

Dog Licenses
A current rabies certificate is needed to license a dog. All dogs 4 months of age and older are to be licensed. Fees are $20.00 for dogs not neutered/spayed and $10.00 for dogs that are neutered/spayed (proof is required). Licenses are renewed by June 30th of every year. Payment in cash or checks made out to “Huron Town Clerk” or credit card can be delivered in person, by mail, placed in the dropped box, or online on the Town’s website. A convenience fee applies for all online payments. When updating, proof of rabies vaccination is required along with payment. 

Handicap Parking Permits
Permanent of Temporary permits are issued with certification.

Conservation Licenses -Hunting and Fishing
A NYS drivers license is required for proof of residency to purchase a DEC License. Proof of hunter safety training is required for a hunting license. DEC licenses go on sale August 1 and the last day to apply for a doe permit is Oct 1st each year. Vital Statistics – Marriage licenses, Birth and Death records
Records are on file for these events that occurred in the Town of Huron beginning in 1882. Marriage licenses must be obtained at least 24 hours prior to the ceremony and are good for 60 days. Both parties must provide a raised seal birth certificate or passport and a photo Id. If either party has been previously married, they must show the last dissolution papers and date and location of all previous dissolutions. The fee is $40.00.
